我有一位大姐姐，她已经上大学了。放假回到家，我请姐姐给我当家庭教师，教我学英语。
姐姐先教我学英标。她告诉我：“音标是英语语言最基本的知识，就像你学汉语拼音一样，拼音是学习国语最基本的知识一样。你学会了音标，碰到不会读的单词，你一查字典，根据音标一读就会了。”
姐姐教得真耐心，她教我就跟老师教学生一样，如[e]的发音，姐姐先把嘴巴就轻轻的张了下，发出“唉“的口型，我照姐姐的口型念了一编，姐姐说嘴巴不要张的太大，声音再拖长些。我又念了几遍后，姐姐说可以了。
学了一个多小时，我有些坐不住了，开始开小差了，东摸摸西摸摸，姐姐语重心长地对我说：“媛媛，学习要持之以恒，不能半途而废，要有毅力，不能三心二意。”听了姐姐的话，我的脸红了，重新拿起英语书大声地读起来。
经过一段时间的学习，我有了不少收获，学到了许多英语知识，我真高兴！
小学生英语竞赛
今天是星期一，也就是一些同学参加小学生英语竞赛的时间。一想起李奚琰说的:“小英赛很难的。”我的身体就发软！
一上完数学课，我们参加小英赛的同学就一窝蜂的窜到了六一班。（我和李奚琰本身要去参加街舞表演的，结果没去！）
Oh no！试卷一发下来，猛地一看：一共有三张试卷，双面的。老师说，听力只听一遍，时间一小时。随着同学们紧张的心情，听力录音开始了。第一道题是让我们补充表格内的信息，读得好快啊，而且我们都还没听清楚呢！
在每道题都有一段时间让我们审题，在那段时间里，旁边的很多同学都在抱怨，嘻嘻！其实我也觉得快了些!
时间一分一秒的'过去，我们在奋笔疾书。就在最后五分钟时，老师提醒了我们：“只有五分钟了啊！抓紧时间做！”当时，我正在写作文。作文的要求是：介绍你熟悉的一座城市，不少于70个单词，10句话。我相信大部分同学写的都是广州，我也不例外！
在老师出声的前一秒，我终于答完了我会的题目。我还有好几题空在那里。我不会啊！！！
走出六一班的教室，我有一种解放了的感觉。可能是考试时太紧张了吧！
