货运代理，英文为freight forwarding，“是货主与承运人之间的中间人、经纪人和运输组织者。”在中国，国际货运代理是指一种新兴的产业，“是处于国际贸易和国际货物运输之间的‘共生产业’或‘边缘产业’。”

在货代空运中，BUP是整板交货的意思（build-up），BUP交货时一般carrier也就是航司会根据Forwarder的要求使用ULD承载货物，不与其他家Forwarder拼板，整个板上都是自己的货物，多用于高附加值的空运货物（如成品手机）以保证货物在运输、中转、装卸过程中的安全性。

相对应的是交散loose cargo（不是说货物是散落的，也不是说货物底部没有托盘，而是说没有Build-up）。

如实汇报一切重要事项。在委托办理业务中向委托方提供的情况、资料必须真实，如有任何隐瞒或提供的资料不实造成的损失，委托方有权向货运代理人追索并撤销代理合同或协议。

负保密义务。货运代理过程中所得到的资料不得向第三者泄漏。同时，也不得将代理权转让与他人。
