冬眠的羽毛

国为是写给外国人的,而外国没有国庆和中秋这两个节日,因此,不必祝其国庆节中秋节快乐.直接写God Bless You 或者 Best Regards!即可

Thanksgiving Day

I know Thanksgiving Day will come soon. In America, people celebrate Thanksgiving Day on the 4th Thursday in November. I don’t know the details of its origin(起源), but I think it involves a story of the Pilgrims(清教徒) and the Indians. In America, people have a special feast with their friends and families on Thanksgiving Day. They eat turkeys on that day and are thankful for the good things that have happened to them that year.

Christmas

Christmas is an important Western holiday that is celebrated on December 25th. It is a special day because it is Jesus Christ’s birthday.

Today people celebrate Christmas in several ways. They decorate Christmas trees, give presents, sing Christmas carols(颂歌), eat candy canes and hang up stockings. They also tell stories about Santa Claus. Santa Claus flies all over the world on Christmas Eve, the night before Christmas, and gives presents to all the children. On Christmas morning when children wake up, they run to the Christmas tree to see what toys Santa has brought them.

We are the Chinese. Christmas has nothing to do with us. We don’t celebrate this festival.

Spring Festival

Spring Festival is one of the most important traditional festivals in China. Like the Christmas in the western countries, Spring Festival is by far the most festive holiday of the year, because this is a special moment when people say good bye to the old year and welcome a new year. People working or studying far away from home try their best to come back home to get reunion with the family.

The Spring Festival falls on the 1st day of the 1st lunar month. On the eve of the Spring Festival, the family gets together to have a big meal. After supper, children can get lucky money as good wish from the elders. During the Spring Festival, people visit their relatives and wish each other “Happy New Year”.

I always look forward to Spring Festival, since there is no school, I can eat many kinds of delicious food, set off fireworks, buy new toys and clothes. I do not need to write homework, and can play games with many friends. There is a happy atmosphere everywhere.

As I like to eat dumpling very much, last Spring Festival, my Mom taught me how to make it. After eating dumpling, I called my cousin and set off firecrackers outside with him. We were very excited and had a good time.

National Day

China's National Day is celebrated every year on October 1. In this year, it is the 60th founding anniversary of the People's Republic of China.

On that day, a large scale official celebration including an inspection of troops was held on Tiananmen Square. Many students in Grade 6 from our school participated in the parade. There were fire-work displays and grand TV ensembles in many cities of China during the evening.

Many people enjoyed an 8-day vacation for National Day Holidays this year, because Mid-Autumn Festival was on October 3rd. I spent the vacation in my mother’s hometown in Hunan Province together with my folks. The trip was planned long ago. We went there by plane but came back by train. Traveling by train was a rare experience for me, because we usually travel by plane or by car.
