英文日期格式日月

美国的日期写法是：月/日/年英国的日期写法是：日/月/年可以确定这个日期是09年，至于是11月8日还是8月11日，就要看这个文本是源自英国还是美国。如果不能确定来源，可以直接采取英式。因为一般国内的写法都用日/月/年，所以就是09年11月8日。

是日月年或者月日年比如2011年6月19日 就应该写成：19th,June,2011或June，19th，2011。

日期写法宜遵从下列规则：

3)日期可用序数词，如：1st,2nd,3rd,4th,...；也可用基数词，如：1，2，3，4，...。但美式大多采用后者

4)在年份和月日之间必须用逗号隔开

5)日期不可全部采用如7.12.2003或7/12/2003的阿拉伯数字书写，否则会引起误解。因为英美在这方面的习惯用法不同。按美国人习惯，上述日期为2003年7月12日，而按英国习惯则是2003年12月7日。6th April,1978 是英式英文的写法. April 6th, 1978 是美式英文的写法.(注意:日子和月份中间没有逗号.)

英语日期的表示法：

英语中月份和星期名称都是专有名词(独一无二的东西比如 月亮 太阳)，它们的首字母必须大写，并且前面无需用冠词。 用英语表示日期，其顺序为“月日年”，日和年之间需用逗号隔开。如：August 2nd， 2003(2003 年 8 月 2 日)也可以用“日月年”来表示。如：10th May，2003(2003 年 5 月 10 日)。

英语日期前介词的使用：若指在哪一年或哪一月，则用介词 in，若具体到某一天，则需用介词 on 美英的表达方式是有差别的 在日期方面，美英的表达方式是有差别的。以日为先，月份为后，此为英国式，美国式则与此相反。如一九九六年三月二日的写法： 2nd March, 1996（英） March 2, 1996（美） 在美式的写法中，1st, 2nd, 3rd 的 st, nd, rd 是不使用的。

由于日期书面表达不同，读法也不一样。如 1987 年 4 月 20 日，英式的写法是 20th April, 1987，读成 the twentieth of April, nineteen eighty-seven；美式的表达是 April 20, 1987，则读成 April the twentieth, nineteen eighty-seven。同样，全部用数字表达日期时，英美也有差别。

1998 年 5 月 6 日按照英国式应写成 6/5/98，而按照美国式应写成 5/6/98；01.08.1998 是英国式 的 1998 年 8 月 1 日，按照美国的表达方式却是 1998 年 1 月 8 日，美国的 1998 年 8 月 1 日 应写成 08，01，1998。
