这首歌的意思是寻找未来的自己，作者是个有梦想情商很高的人，他在与未来的自己对话，他害怕自己成为不了未来的自己，显然他对未来自己想象的太好而现在自己很屌丝，他害怕，他怕未来的自己消失，他就会沉沦，他很害怕。但是他的作品很好，他不该害怕，歌曲虽然很带感，但是我听出了含义，所以我哭了。《Faded》明显是在人生中遇到低谷或是挫折、伤感的事物，但又积极奋发向上，永不放弃。

我觉得这是对美人鱼的追寻对歌声的回应，歌词中的亚特兰蒂斯市和美人鱼有关，传说是美人鱼海底的一座城市，传说美人鱼也是有着美丽的歌声，歌词应该是想用美人鱼发声后半部分应该是美人鱼的口吻
