语法的复习不可轻视,一定的句法能力是提高语言能力的基础。不重视语法教学,势必会造成学生张口动笔就错、语言不规范。SEFC教材的语法项目编排分散,高三复习时必须相对集中,系统归纳。我们不能照搬几年前的做法,语法复习得过深过难。教师要减少单纯的语法考查,降低语法的难度,增加语境,加强语境中对理解、推理能力的考查。但在高三后期,要“丢掉语法”,用尽可能多的时间去进行阅读、写作和听力训练,培养能力。 集中复习中学课本中的各种时态时,要比较它们的用法特点;复习非谓语动词时可以按它们的功能横向比较-ing形式、-ed形式和不定式各自的用法特点;复习非谓语动词做宾语的用法时,可用图表形式列出,并附例句、考点、高考题。 如: 1)只能用不定式作宾语的动词有wish,offer, hope,expect,decide,manage,agree,pretend,refuse,promise等。 2)用动词·吨形式作宾语的动词有mind,practice,enjoy,suggest,avoid,finish,consider,can't help,give up等。 3)有些动词既可以用不定式也可以用动词-ing形式作宾语。两者意义基本相同的有:begin, start,love,hate,prefer等;意义明显不同的有:forget,remember,regret,try,mean等。如remember/forget后接不定式表示“记得/忘记了要做某事(动作尚未发生)”,后接动词-ing形式表示“记得/忘记已做某事(动作已经发生)”。 4)有些动词用动词-ing形式作宾语表示被动意义,相当于不定式的被动浯态作宾语如need,want,require,demand等。 再如,定语从句是高中英语教材中的重要语法内容,它贯穿了整个高中英语的每一册教材,也是每年必考的考点。归纳定语从句知识时要掌握以下要点:1)that,which,who等关系代词与when,where等关系副词的基本用法,以及如何选择定语从句引导词;2)引导词that和which的用法区别以及各自的特殊用法;3)非限制性定语从句意义、用法以及which在非限制性定语从句中的应用;4)as在定语从句中的用法;5)“介词+关系代词”引导定语从句;6)带有“插入语”的定语从句;7)·分隔式·定语从句;8)定语从句与并列句、状语从句、名词性从句、强调句型的用法区别。 不定代词也是中学课本的语法重难点之一,可以按照指代范围去归纳复习,如:both,either,neither表示两者之间;any,all,none,every,some表示三者或三者以上之间;each既可以用于两者,也可以用于两者或三者以上。我们也可以按照不定代词表示特指与泛指的范畴去复习,如:the other,the others表示特指,other,ethers,another表示泛指。我们还要归纳不定代词表示完全否定与不完全否定的用法,如:not和all,both,every,everything连用表示不完全否定含义,其完全否定含义应由none,neither,no,nobody,nothing加表示肯定意义的谓语构成;little蚮ew表示否定概念,a little,a few表示肯定概念。不定代词表示替代用法的常用词有one,ones,it, that,those。复习时要把不定代词的基本用法和语境结合起来,培养学生在语境中灵活运用不定代词的能力。 每一类语法项目的复习可以分三个板块进行:复习要点(附课本例句),主要考点(列举高考题),精选练习(突出语境,强调运用能力)。 培养阅读能力一直是高中英语教学的重点。阅读理解能力也一直是高考英语测试的主题,如果加上以理解能力为基础的完型填空题和短文改错题,考查阅读理解能力的试题则占全卷的一半以上。阅读理解能力的提高,既可以帮助学生顺利地解答高考英语中的阅读理解试题,也有助于解答完形填空试题和短文改错试题,其基础都是阅读理解能力。通过阅读理解训练,学生既可以巩固和加强各项英语基础知识,又可以学习到许多英语表达的方法和技巧,这些东西又成了书面表达的能力基础。近年来高考逐年增大了阅读理解试题的难度,文章长反增加,生词、多义词、兼义词增加,长句、难句增加,等等。所以,我们主张在英语复习的整个过程中,要始终以培养和提高阅读理解能力为中心,以此带动英语复习质量的全面提高。现在有的学生大部分时间用在钻研语法和做单项填空的语法习题上,偏离了方向。 SEFC教材题材多样,内容丰富,是培养阅读能力的很好教材,尤其是原高三下册的文章,原汁原味,难度和题材都很适合高三阅读训练。以前有很多老师为了留出更多的时间来复习,放弃这些语言材料,甚为可惜。课文教学要采用整体教学法,按照高考的阅读能力要求,重点训练学生总结归纳、判断推理等深层次理解能力以及获取信息和猜测词义的能力,还应让学生掌握一定的快速阅读技巧。在高三复习阶段,阅读训练一天也不能放松,并要按照高考题型和能力要求设计练习,要求学生限时阅读,培养学生解题技巧。 在高考复习阶段,有的学生英语基础不错,上课也认真听讲,可实际运用英语的能力就是不强;笔者也经常听到有的老师对学生考试成绩不佳的抱怨:“这道题目多次讲解过,为什么学生还做不好呢?”其实原因很简单,学生缺乏语言实践。语言的特点就是实践性和交际性,知识的掌握和语言能力的形成只有靠大量的语言实践。多实践练习,则熟能生巧,能力就会自然提高。 现在的高考越来越淡化单纯的语法知识考查,而是突出强调考查运用英语的能力。既然高考是以考核听、读、写能力为主,那么这些能力的培养只能靠不断地练习,在实践中使学生诸方面的能力逐步提高。语言实践的途径有许多,如听、说、读、写、背等。课堂时间毕竟有限,教师应该处理好讲和练的关系。如果教师在课堂上的讲解时间过多,就必然挤占学生用于语言实践的时间。教师应给学生足够的时间去消化和巩固所学内容,进行朗读、背诵、模拟练习、交际运用等多种形式的语言实践活动。 在高三最后复习阶段,时间很有限。我们反对题海战术,反对无选择地做大量重复的机械练习题;提倡精讲精练,精选那些设计严密、具有科学性、系统性、针对性的练习题,限时完成,保证质量。学生通过练习及时发现问题和解决问题,提高分辨能力,增强知识的理解和记忆,提高语言运用能力,掌握解题技巧。教师在讲评练习时。不要只求答案,要进行多角度设问,使学生既要知其然,更要知其所以然,要通过典型试题分析,培养学生单一反三、触类旁通的能力。 总之,高考提前给广大英语教师提出了更高的要求,促使他们针对SEFC教材的特点和高考的发展,更新观念,理清思路,科学地安排,周密地计划,在有限的时间内达到最佳复习效果。
