校训的作用英文

最近听闻我们学校的校训改了，由原来的“勤奋求实”后面加上一句“励志明德”。现在且不对我们修改后的校训的好还坏做任何的评判，先来谈谈我的关于训的一些思考！一 校训是什么？校训有什么作用？一个学样校训应该体现什么？校训，作为学校育人的一种方式和手段，据《辞海》的解释，其含义是“学校为训育上之便利，选若干德目制成匾额，悬之校中公见之地”，“目的在使个人随时注意而实践之”。从字面上看，校训，是学校为树立优良校风、培养良好学风而制定的，要求师生共同遵守的基本的思想规范和行为准则。[1] 校训是学校传统的表露，是一种方向性育人手段和管理措施。每一所学校在其发展历程中，或多或少都会形成自己独特的历史传统与人文景观，吸引、感染、塑造着每一氛围内的个体。用这种长期积淀的无形力量对师生思想、情感、意志、性格和行为等进行教育，自然是其他任何方式所无法取代的。概而言之，一个学校的校训是一个学校的最好的广告牌，它最充分地体现了一个学校的价值取向和特色，同时一个学校的校训也一服很强的凝聚力、约束力和鞭策力，它把一个学校的全体师生紧紧地团结在一起，激励全体师生不断开拓进取！ 由此观之，一个学校校训的好坏其影响甚大、甚深！Recently we heard the school motto of school change, from originally of "diligence is realistic" behind plus a "inspiring mingde".
