A Real HeroA movie hero is always thought of someone who is strong, smart, and good looking. A real hero is so much more than the usual cliches. By definition, a hero is a person who is admired or idealized for courage, outstanding achievements, or noble qualities. Therefore, a hero is courageous, brave, and unselfish.A hero is a person who is courageous(有勇气的,勇敢的,有胆量的). Courage is the strengths needed to face fears. Every one face difficulties such as loosing a loved one, getting something stolen, etc. But what sets courageous people apart from cowards(n. Having the will and drive to go and face those difficulties and eliminate(vt. 消除, 排除) them with passion and strength. Having such qualities is a hard thing to find. An example of courage would be Rosa Parks. Mrs. Parks was arrested and sent to jail for refusing to give her seat on a bus up for a white passenger. She went and made a statement because she was passionate about the Civil Rights Movement.A hero is a person that is brave in an extreme situation and acts anyway, because they know it has to be done. An example of bravery(n. 勇敢;勇气) would be Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Dr. King lived in a place and time when speaking out against racism(n. He kept fighting even after his own home was firebombed( firebomb n. This shows his extreme bravery and the only possible reason for him continuing was because he knew it had to be done.A hero is a person who is unselfish. Unselfish is willing to put the needs of others before one’s own. An American soldier is a perfect example of a person who is unselfish. They volunteer their own life for the freedom of their loved ones and strangers they have never even met. That shows the true definition of a person who is unselfish. In conclusion, a hero is a person who is willing to face their own fears, continues even in an extreme situation, and puts others before themselves.

What is a heroMany words can describe what a hero is, but what is the real meaning of a hero actually? For most, a hero is someone who has contributed something useful to society and he/she can also be a model for others. It’s very noble to be a hero. Many heroes even sacrifice themselves to maintain and defend something. Many heroes have done great things, but we each have our own hero in our heart. For me, she is Inul Daratista. Inul has touched our hearts in Indonesia-- she is such a gorgeous woman to us. She has shown power, strength and greatness as a female. From her, we can learn that women are as good as men. Being a woman like Inul, isn't an embarassing thing. Her potential can make our nation, Indonesia, feel proud. If I were her, I'd like to show my special dance and dangdut music throughout the world. Maybe one day, MTV will make a show about dangdut and it will be accepted all around the world.

decided to rid the earth of religion. The exact process was mysterious, involved a lot of forms, and ticked a bit. I was led into a secret basement beneath Frankie HQ with multicoloured moss, posters of bands from 2034 and the faint smell of caramel popcorn. I was put through a ‘thought sorter’ which was like a personal Gravitron where I could see my mindscapes like fireworks. Some guys in hoodies came and stamped codes on to my leg with a fluoro typewriter. I was sat down at a desk and given a pen by the beautiful archangel in a petticoat. She had ruby eyes and an inbuilt theremin. I read the fine print and signed off on religion forever. The archangel smiled and we ate crumpets. She said I’d have to restart myself for the changes to take effect. I took a lift back up to land, caught a taxi home, and fell asleep in a beanbag.I woke up and got on the Internet. It was strange. I looked up ‘Bible’ and Wikipedia said it was the world’s best-selling piece of fiction by ‘anonymous’. The Pope was an ‘entertainer’, and typing ‘Christian’ into Google got me a Christian Slater fansite. I stepped outside and went down the street to my local church. The stained-glass windows had turned clear, and there was a beer garden outside. I rang my mother and asked her who Jesus was and she sounded confused. “He led the Romans, I think”. For days I dragged a methodical comb over society, trying to gauge the effects I’d induced. At first the signs were obvious- all the temples around the world had been transformed into marketplaces, pubs and libraries. All religious scriptures were now ‘Penguin Classics’. On Sunday mornings, people gathered in parks and had something between a town meeting and a counselling session. They weren’t so bad. There were sausages and a few laughs.
