江南英语翻译

江南Jiāngnán 名①（长江下游以南）areas south of the lower reaches of the Yangtze River ②（长江以南）south of the Yangtze River春风又绿江南岸。Spring breezes bring greenness to the southern Yangtze region again.

江南实际指的是长江以南，所以翻作Southern Yangtze, 如有江南大学（Southern Yangtze University) 而塞北则指长城以北，所以翻作the north of the Great Wall。 塞北江南实际上是说，地处北方而不失南方之秀，故可译作： a northern place with delicate southern scenery。
