是Tree Planting Day（植树节），我国植树节在三月份（12日）。每个国家植树节日期都不同，比如说：美国的植树节是4月10日，德国的植树节是4月25日，日本的植树节在5月4日，巴西的植树节则在9月21日。
植树节起源：
我国古代在清明时节就有插柳植树的传统，但清明的习俗不止是植树一个，清明也还不是法定的植树节。近代法定的植树节则起源于美国。1872年美国内布拉斯加州决定自1885年起，每年4月22日为州植树节，以后美国各州以至世界各国根据其地理位置和气候条件确定各自的植树节。
通过植树活动，激发人们爱林、造林的感情，提高人们对森林功用的认识，促进国土绿化，达到爱林护林和扩大森林资源、改善生态环境的目的。是为了动员全民植树而规定的节日。
