Beijing Garden Expo Park is located along the western bank of the Yongding River in Fengtai District of Beijing, with a total area of 513 hectares. It relays on rich environment resources and culture heritage of Yong Ding River. Beijing Garden Expo Park, adhering to the concept of “cultural heritage, ecological priority, serving the people’s livelihood, and sustainable development”, takes advantage of green technology to construct the garden with an ecological restoration manner on building waste landfill, which is a large-scale city park involving garden art, cultural landscape, ecological leisure and citizens sightseeing. Beijing Garden Expo Park has become the most popular theme park in western Beijing, and the ideal place of various games and activities.The planning layout of the park is “An axis，two points, five gardens”. “An axis” refers to Yuanbo Axis, a landscape axis running through the main exhibition area. “Two points ” are Yongding Tower and Jinxiu Valley. Yongding Tower is an antique tower in the style of Liao and Jin dynasty, with a height of 69.7 meters, which is a landmark of Beijing Garden Expo Park. Jin Xiu Valley is a model of “making use of discarded things” in Beijing Garden Expo Park, which is a sunken landscape valley full of flowers transformed from a 20 hectares’ construction waste landfill. There are totally 69 gardens in Beijing Garden Expo Park, which are classified into “Five Gardens”, respectively traditional gardens, modern gardens, creative gardens, international gardens and wetland gardens.
