单纯靠单词、词组的“硬翻”,几乎100%是不可能让你能今后到处套用、把各种句子翻译得准确、传神的。必须根据上下文、语境、文字的语气(讥讽、严肃、逗乐。。。)等才能决定“让XX的怒气达到顶点”究竟该怎么说。比如 to take the cake,原意是“拔得头筹”,但是也可以用来说“把XX愤怒推倒了顶点”:某君今天百事不顺,本来就火气越来越旺,最后他最恨的丈母娘从外地突然来了,还不识相。。。: (先从小到大历数一堆让他今天毒火攻心的事)... But it was her mother-in-law who really took the cake. = 真正把他“引爆”了的,是他丈母娘!

我感觉有很多时候,不能字对字的翻译,因为两种语言的背后站着的是两种不同的人文环境(自然,地理,物产)和文化背景(譬如英国的安格鲁撒克逊民族来自欧洲大陆与低地德语文化有很多类似,后来又被法国统治。。。。后来强大,产生另一些分支就是美国澳大利亚。。。他们又贡献一些新的东西)。而我们中国所经历的历史貌似比他们更为复杂了。所以很难要求在不同文化上所有的表达都可以‘精准’的字对字翻译。回到主题我觉得你只要翻译的传神适合你要表达语境就可以了,表达愤怒到极点的词汇应该不少:furious madness,angry(upset) furiously(madly)。blow sb's head (top)off,outrage(这个和你选的最相近,出离的愤怒)climax rage 。(名词)rage,fury,wrath。。。等等再根据需要找对应的词汇搭配
