英语目的

英语是国际通用语言，学好了以后在工作中有更多的就业机会，而且通常外国的订单（工作中）利润都比较高，可以使自己发展的更快，而且英语在国际交往中也很常用，许多国家都把英语作为自己的语言（就像我们把汉语作为通用语言一样），也就是说，如果学好了英语，可以在很多国家中立足。而且中国加入了WTO，而且还是常任理事国，学习英语是理所当然的了！（有点远额……）还有呢，就是楼下说的，促进文化交流，学习别国家的文化习俗啦。而且，现在西方国家都在积极学习汉语，我们要是不“回礼”，也不是个事啊（个人认为是歪理……^_^）

根据不同语境有不同说法啊，最好能给个具体的句子。如果就是一个“目的”，可以说purpose、goal、aim（侧重于做事的目的或想要达成的目标） ，或者intention（侧重于主观意图），供参考~

促进文化交流、学习不同文化、更好了解沟通与外国友人的合作交流，不要只是认为学英语就是为了考试而学习，多学一门外语，利始终大于弊。起码不用眼光光看着人家叽里呱啦的说什么鸟语！
