1、compare
compare的基本意思是“比较，对照”，主要用于比较事物的典型特征及其价值，而不在于比较相同与不同。
compare接with或to可表示“与…相比”，接to还可用于比喻，意为“比作”。接with还可表示“比得上”，这种用法常出现在疑问句或否定句中，且常与can连用。

2、contrast
contrast的基本意思是把两个以上的事物摆在一起，以显示其不同之处。
