The westerners have total different opinions from Chinese towards dragon, due to the great difference between Chinese and western culture. In the west, "dragon" is a negative word, which symbolizes evil. In many dictionaries of America and England, the definition for "dragon" is: an imaginable animal, which is quite ruthless and resembles a giant lizard with wings, paws and long snake-like tail. It can spout fire from its mouth. In biblical story, dragon is the representative of evil. People always compare it to the devil Satan, calling it "the great dragon". Even the Christians take pride in killing dragon. In Chinese ancient legends, however, "dragon" is a positive word. In the legends, dragon is lucky and miraculous animal which is able to produce rain and punish ghosts. In the feudal society, dragon is the representative of emperor, and Chinese people are proud to call themselves "the heirs of Dragon". Over several thousand years, the notion of dragon has become popular all over China. Dragon stands for Chinese people and China! Here, I propose that everyone publicize China's culture of dragon, making it widely accepted instead of admitting it as a mistake or suggesting changing our totem. It is the resposibility and duty of us, the heirs of China's five-thousand-year culture.

Because of the diffient culture between China and western country,the western have the real diffient thought on dragon from the Chinese'."dragon" is a derogatory word and a symbol of the evil.In many UK and US'dictionaries explain that dargon is a cruel animal in image.It looks like a huge chameleon and with winds,sharp claw and a long snake's tail.It also can sting-out.In the Bible,dragon is a avatar of sin.The God and people are always against the devel Satan who is called "the great dragon".Christian saint also will be proud if he kill a dargon.In Chinese legend, "dargon"is a commendatory word.The dragon in the legend can control the rain and punish the evil.It's a lucky and wonderful animal.In the feidal society,dragon is a symbol of emperor and Chinese are proud that called themselves"the successor of dragon".In the past thousand years,dragon has been speeded all around the China.Dragon is the delegate of Chinese nation and the China!Let's publicize our culture of dragon initiativly!Make our real culture of dragon develop but not comply with the mistake,or say something about change the totem.It's our blame and duty to do so !人手翻的吖。。好累。。不过不太好。。希望你用得着

这个字念dragon。龙（英语：Dragon）是西方古代的一种传说生物，出现在各种文学、艺术作品以及建筑、纪念物中。传说中的龙拥有强大的力量及魔法能力，种类很多，其家族的庞大比起东方龙来毫不逊色。神话传说里龙是神异动物，能行云布雨、能大能小、能升能隐、大则兴云吐雾、小则隐介藏形、升则飞腾于太空之间、隐则潜伏于波涛之内。龙的典型形象是两个杈角、长须、蛇身、四足、鳞片满身，也可以说是马面、狗鼻、牛嘴、鹿角、蛇身、鹰爪、鱼鳞、狮尾、虾须。龙的原型有新中国龙化石里的美丽瓦窑龙，有双角但非神物。龙的传人：所谓龙的传人，主要意思是说龙之血缘的传承人，说远古的先祖是人和龙交合的产物，次要意思是说龙之泽物无畏精神的传承人。中华文化区，一些民族自称龙的传人，例如：传说尧母庆都赤龙感之有孕，十四月生尧于丹陵，而尧的血液经过无数代人的婚姻，传播于无数人，中国百越系的的壮侗泰佬掸芒等族传说因为神农娶洞庭君之龙女为妻而生，苗族始祖之一的蚩尤传说头有双角也是龙，藏族蒙古人和满族等东北一些少数民族也崇拜龙。据北京日报“世界视野中的龙文化”：又说包括越南人在内的百越人是龙的传人，据《大越史记全书》记载，大越始祖泾阳王乃炎帝神农后裔，娶洞庭君之龙女为妻而生貉龙王，遂繁衍百越众生云云。柬埔寨也传说龙是王室的祖先，他们也自称龙的后裔。东亚各国始祖传说中“龙”的要素，反映出崇拜所谓神物的心态。元音字母a在重读闭音节中发短元音/æ/的音，发音时，舌端靠近下齿，舌前部抬高，舌位低，是四个前元音中舌位最低的，但开口最大的一个，属于短元音，但是，在实际发音中有相当的长度，牙床介于半开和开之间，不圆唇，这个音多出现在字首和字中位置，如：mat 垫子map 地图bag 包，袋子cat 猫hat 宽边的帽子fan 风扇，扇子bat 球拍apple 苹果希望我能帮助你解疑释惑。
