用于调查一件事情，客气一点的~Please do allow us to have some time for the investigation.姿态高一些的~We will spend some time to investigate on this matter.如果是想市场调研或搜寻意见的，则可以用：We will spend some time to survey the market.这里survey可以翻译为“调查”，主要是由于它有“测量”及“勘察”的意思。

1、Investigate，动词，是官方调查的意思 ，比较正式。警方、法院等组织用得较多。

2、Inquisition，名词；inquisite ，动词, 调查，询问-，宗教意味重一点（罗马天主教宗教法庭）。3、inquiry，动词，用于一般的调查，可以有询问的意思。

4、survey 和 poll有调查问卷的意思，检测，测量。5、意思最一般的就是 Check 了。

6、如果是短语的话，可以有 look over，seeing into，see into，search into，还有一些少见的用法意思上面是同义。
