ladyman,sheboy,sheman,ladyboy,ladymale泰国人妖，有人译为 transvestite ，然而这主要是“异性装扮癖”之意，transvestist 才是“男扮女装或女扮男装者”。无论是 transvestite， 还是transvestist，都不能反映出本来是男人、装扮成女性并作为一种特殊职业的那种泰国人妖。 所以，人妖的翻译也要与时俱进了。本人认为，人妖的表达是ladyman, 这是在一本正式的泰国旅游手册上看到的用法。 人妖译法从本人介绍的ladyman（从泰国的原版英语旅游介绍文字资料而来）到Mr. IC列出的sheboy，sheman，ladyboy，ladyman和ladymale，可以看出人妖又一个又规律的表达法：male word + female word = 人妖的表达法。
