英语关于月份的用法

1. 英语中表示“月份”的名词如下：January(1月)，February(2月)，March(3月)，April(4月)，May(5月)，June(6月 )，July(7月)，August(8月)，September(9月)，October(10月 )，November(11月)，December(12月)。

2. 表示在某月，其前用介词 in;具体表示某月某日，其前用介词on。如：

We had our holiday in July. 我们是在7月份度假的。

My birthday’s on March 21st. 我的生日是3月21日。

根据语义的需要，也可使用其他表示特定意义的介词。如：

I haven’t seen Tim since January. 自1月份以来我未曾见过蒂姆。

We must finish the work by end of July. 我们必须于7月底前完成这项工作。

Applications must be sent in by [before] 30 April. 申请书必须在4月30日以前交来。

The tourist season runs from June to [till] October. 旅游季节从6月一直到10月。

3. 表示月份的.名词与表示星期的名词并列时，通常要先说星期后说月份。如：

The meeting was held on Friday, March 16. 会议于3月16日(星期五)召开。

Wednesday, May 24th marks our 25th wedding anniversary. 5月24日，星期三，是我们结婚25周年纪念日。

4. 表示月份词通常为不可数名词，且通常不连用冠词。如：

May comes between April and June. 5月在4月与6月之间。

December is the last month of the year. 12月是一年的最后一个月份。

July and August are the months when the weather is hot. 7月和8月是天气很热的月份。

但是有以下特殊用法值得注意：

(1) 如果其前带有描绘性修饰语，则可在其前使用不定冠词。如：

We’re having a very wet April. 今年4月雨水可真多啊。

It happened in a cold December. 这事发生在一个寒冬腊月。

(2) 如果需要特指，则可在其前使用定冠词。如：

It was the wettest October for many years. 多年来10月份从来没下过这么多雨。

It was the January after we went to Greece. 事情发生在我们到希腊去之后的那个1月份。

(3) 如果将表示月份的名词一个一个地“计数”，则可以用作可数名词。如：

We’ve had two very cold Januarys in a row. 我们连续度过了两个非常寒冷的1月。

It was one of the hottest Augusts on record. 这是有史以来最热的一个8月。

5. 有时可直接用于名词前作定语，表示当月。如：

It was a raw February morning. 那是2月里一个阴冷的早晨。

The March wind chilled us. 3月的风使我们感到十分寒冷。

The editor is short of contributions for the May issue. 编辑缺少5月号刊物用的稿件。

There’s always a dull period after the January sales. 在1月份大减价之后市面总要有一段清淡时期。

6. 受 early 修饰，表示某月初或上旬;受 late 修饰，表示某月的末或下旬。如：

I’m seeing him in May—or rather early June. 我5月份见他，更确切地说是在6月初。

English strawberries usually come in in late June. 英国草莓通常在6月下旬上市。

12个月份的英语是：

January，一月；February，二月；March，三月；April，四月；May，五月；June，六月；July，七月；August，八月；September，九月；October，十月；November，十一月；December，十二月。

英语月份的用法：
