虽然二者都表示“在树上”，但是两者有本质的区别别。

on the tree通常指树本身长出的东西，如枝、叶、花、果等。

例句：There are some pears on the tree.树上结了一些梨。

in the tree一般指外来的东西在树上，不是树本身所有，例如：鸟，猫等小动物，物品及人。

例句：There are some birds in the tree.树上有一些鸟。

on的用法

1、用于星期、日期(包括该天的各部分)前

on Sundays/weekdays

2、用于morning/afternoon/evening/night/day前

此时这类名词前多有修饰语或带有of等引起的后置修饰语，指具体的或不具体的某一日。

in的用法

1、用于泛指一天的上午、下午、傍晚如：in the morning/afternoon/evening/night用于某个较长的时间，像世纪、朝代、年、月、季节
