国内的初中英语教育落后，个人非常同意金高银这种说法，因为不光国内的初中英语教育落后，英语教育整体来说就是落后的，因为没有特别好的教学方法，这是个很大的难题，没有办法在短期内解决。
大家估计从小到大从三年级开始吧，自己上学的时候是从三年级开始学英文，所以都有过这样体验上英语课，主要学什么呢？第一老师讲单词告诉你这个单词怎么读什么意思，然后课本上有一些课文从头到尾给你翻译一遍，这个就算是英文课的主要内容了，然后老师会留一些作业，一些阅读题之类的回去看一看，然后老师讲一讲哪个选项对哪个选项不对，这个就是从小到大的教育模式，到大学之前，甚至说到了大学都没有什么改变，都是一样的。
但是老师的这个教学能力，确实是受到教育模式的影响的，比如说老师会讲单词，但是他不会告诉你这个单词是怎么来的，知识结构不够啊，很多英文单词他是有他创立的背景的，他为什么这么写，他用哪个词跟他平常又有什么主要的含义，有什么生僻的含义，如果去详细的讲的话，这一个单词有很多很多故事的，没有那么枯燥，但是哪儿那么容易的，毕竟我们不是英语的母语者，对于这些东西掌握得本来就没有那么好，小学初中的英语老师自然也受到知识水平的限制。
英语应该更多地侧重于听说读写的能力，最基本的就是你要认识这个单词，然后能读对能够把阅读的那些课文读懂，然后能听得懂，最后就是能说得连贯达到这种程度，那这个英文学习的模式就已经相当不错了，但是现在显然就是注重考试的能力，能不能选出正确的选项，至于听不听得懂会不会说没有什么关系，学英语的10个人里面估计有9个都是两个英语不会说。
