英语语法修正

除了语法问题，估计更重要的是思维的习惯表达问题。你想表达的中文是什么？所列的三项提示都有可能。但是只有知道你想表达什么，才能有针对性地指出问题所在。如果建议你将句子改成：In Dickens's "Oliver Twist ", Nancy, a figure with multiple characters, some of which are contradictory to each other, can be said to be a product of that era.这是你要表达的意思吗？the height of critical realism：你的中文是什么？（单从英文看不出你想表达什么？这整个句子的表达也不符合英语习惯。你想说什么？）

One day, Jack invites(修改为invited) some friends to his home for a(删除a) dinner.When none(修改为some) of his friends arrived, he asked them (增加to) sit at the table.He began to count for the people in his mind while they (增加were) having the delicious food.Suddenly, he cried out: "Oh, they(修改为there) are 13 people here!"
