首先，如果某个人向你道歉，一定要知道是为什么：
About what?（是因为什么）
Why?（为什么）
Why do you say sorry?（为什么你要说对不起）
What happened?（发生了什么）
知道缘由后，回答Sorry的情况大致分三种：
（一）你觉得完全不用放在心上，可以说：
1. That’s all right.（没关系）
2. Never mind.（不用担心）
3. No problem.（没事）
4. No worries.（不要多虑）
5. It's fine.（不打紧）
6. It's OK.（没关系）
7. It doesn't matter.（那不影响）
8. Don't mention it.（别记在心上）
9. Forget it.（没事，忘了吧）
（二）事情比较大，你接受道歉，但也要告诫对方：
11. I accept your apology.
（我接受你的道歉）
12. Apology accepted.
（你的'道歉我接受了）
13. I forgive you.
（我原谅你）
14. You should be, but I forgive you.
（你就应该这么道歉，不过我原谅你）
15. Please don't let it happen again.
（别再这样了）
语气再重一点的说法有：
16. Next time you do it, you will be sorry.
（下不为例）
17. Well, you should be.
（道歉是你应该的）
18. So, how are you going to make it right?
（所以你要如何来弥补）
（三）事情很大，你无法原谅对方，可以这么说：
19. I accept your apology but I just cannot let it go.
（我接受你的道歉，但我不会就这么算了）
20. I know you might mean it but it's too late.
（我知道你要说什么，但是已经太晚了）
21. I don’t accept your apology.
（我不接受你的道歉）
