新加坡和马来西亚能够成为我们出国的主要目的地，有一个很重要的原因就是那里讲中文的人比较多，所以我们，尤其是老年人，如果想出国，经常会选择这两个国家，因为几乎不需要担心语言的问题，看到的也都是亲切的面孔。
他们会推广华语，主要有两个原因，一个是新加坡和马来西亚的华侨本来就很多，新加坡有560多万人口，其中近75%是华人，马来西亚的华人占比虽然只有22%，但因为人口基数大，所以华人有600多万那么多。
如果在这两个国家的华人各说各的方言，有的说闽南语、有的说粤语等等，大家互相听不懂，那就悲剧了。
统一说华语是一个好办法，他们可能也看中了华语是联合国使用的六大语言之一，在国际上的影响力会越来越大，对国民的发展比较好。
其实在外华人还是记得祖国的，就算是不推广，他们也会让自己的孩子接触华文，比如马来西亚流行多源流教育，汉族的就会让自己的孩子在小的时候去上华文学校，等到中学了再接受马来语和英语教育。
第二个原因，为了发展他们的旅游业。
中国游客撑起了新加坡和马来西亚旅游业的半边天，每一年入境他们国家的最多的，一般是中国游客，消费最多的也是，现在中国游客对这两个国家的满意度挺高的，但如果可以推广华语，让中国游客过去的时候，语言障碍再少一点，感觉再亲切一点，去的人自然也就多了。
这是一件两全其美的事情。
不只是新加坡和马来西亚，不少外国的商家为了吸引中国游客，也会学一些中文，泰国、日本和韩国学得比较多，但还是远远比不上有那么多华侨捧场的新加坡和马来西亚。
不过这样推广，真的好么？
