The novel has portrayed many different people. Doctor Manette is honest and kind but suffers the persecution actually ， Lucie is beautiful and gentle ，Charles is graceful and noble，Lorry is upright and honest ，Sydney is semblance of indifferent, innermost feelings of warm,unconventional but also selfless and lofty，Miss Pross is straightforward and loyal，Evremonde brothers are cruel and sinister......The complex hatred is hard to solve, the cruel revenge has made more hatreds, loves rebirth in the hell edge,but take the life as the price. After reading the whole story, I would like to talk about the main characters of the story—Catherine Earnshaw and Heathcliff. Catherine Earnshaw and Heathcliff do love each other very much, but they do not have the right attitude towards love, which leads to the tragedy. In Catherine’s life, she made a very foolish decision---marrying to Edgar. In fact, her love for Edgar can never be compared to that for Heathcliff. She did so, because she thought the wealth of Edgar would be useful to help Heathcliff. But in reality, it did not work. She did not have a good understanding of love, which is something pure and saint. If anyone add any purpose into love, love itself lost its meaning. Catherine’s wrong decision hurt two people who love her, and even destroyed the happiness of their offspring. Heathcliff is a man full of retaliation. He loved Catherine very much, but what he did, on the contrary, added to the misery of Catherine. In my opinion, if he really loved Catherine, he should not walk into Catherine’s life again after his disappearance. Further more, after the death of Catherine, what Heathcliff did brought agony to Catherine’s daughter, as well as his own son. After reading, I have a better understanding of love. If you love really someone, his or her happiness is the thing that most matters. 4 Yesterday, I read a book, the name of the book is《Dr Bethune》.Dr Bethune was a famous doctor From Canada. I read some English papers and learnt much from them . And now , I want to say something about a paper titled “Web Usage Mining ：Discovery and Applications of Usage Patterns from Web Data”.This is the first English paper I read about dissertation and gave me great help .This paper is a review about web usage mining. It introduced web usage mining in detail . Although it is a little old for it was published in 2000 , its contents are very useful today . It is organized according to the sequence of web usage mining and the six main parts are introduction which tells me what is web usage mining , the sources and abstraction of web data , the three steps of web usage mining , taxonomy and project survey , websift overview , privacy issues . The third and fourth parts are most important . It had a list of existing project about web usage mining which I saw many times in other papers , but this paper is the one creating this list . Besides , it has been referred for more then twenty times . As we all know that , the higher the referred number is , the more important the paper is , so I consider this paper to be an important and successful one in this region.In my opinion , the success of this paper dues to three reasons . The first reason is the profound computer knowledge owned by the authors . Web usage mining relates to many subjects , such as artificial intelligence , ontology , semantic analysis , but the most basic knowledge is computer science . The four authors are all professors of department of computer science and engineering in university of Minnesota . For myself , I am not major in computer science and I am not very good at computers , so I feel a little difficult to understand technologies used in this region.Second , they had read a large number of papers before they wrote this paper . There are fifty nine references listed after main contents . “Stand on the shoulders of giants” , this sentence tell us a truth : one can never successful all by oneself . And what’s more , learn from others can save a lot of time and energy , especially for us new learner . How to learn from others is a skill all of us should master , but learning doesn’t mean copy or plagiary . Other people’s knowledge and production is just our foundation , upon this foundation , we must have our own thoughts and creation. There are many remarks in this paper where referred other’s production.Third , the authors had the experience of developing a web usage mining project . They don’t just engage in idle theorizing , so their comprehension on this issue is greatly profound. They know what we may meet in a real project development and they know how to resolve them . After reading this paper , I also read some other papers written in Chinese . Some of them are not based on real project and can not give useful resolution . Websift is the name of system they developed which can be used to data mining and analysis .I wrote this article not only because it gave me much help in preparing my dissertation , but also because it tells me how to study and how to do research . Honesty and preciseness are two essential making a researcher must have . Hard-working is the necessary condition leading to success . This is just the beginning of my dissertation , I should learn from these four authors , both their knowledge and their attitude to study。

Tonight I watched the movie for the third time. I really enjoy this film so much.
So what's your choice between being a common person or a hero with people's reects? Most people will choose the latter. But what will be your choice if the cost is laying your lover among the risks? What will it be if the cost is you can never tell the girl, who you love so much, that you love her? The ider man had this contradiction. But finally he still chose the latter, not in order to be a hero, but to make this word peaceful.
I was so moved by the words the Aunt Mary said:
You will never guess what he wants to be, the ider man. He knows the hero when he sees one, too a few characters out there, flying all around out there, saving old girls like me. Lord knows kids like Henry need hero courageous, sacrificing for people, setting examples for all of us. Everybody loves a hero. People enthrone them, cheer them, scream their names and years later they will tell how they stood in the rain for hours just to get a glimpse the one who taught them to hold on to stand longer. I believe there is a hero in all of us. They keep us be honest, give us strength, make us noble, and finally allow us to die with proud. Ever though sometimes we have to initiatively give up the thing we want most, even our dreams. Spider man did that for Henry, so he wants to know where he is gone. He needs him.
The ider man got much from these words, so did I. And what about you? what's the hero lying in you?

The novel goes through five distinct stages: Jane's childhood at Gateshead, where she is abused by her aunt and cousins; her education at Lowood School, where she acquires friends and role models but also suffers privations; her time as the governess of Thornfield Manor, where she falls in love with her Byronic employer, Edward Rochester; her time with the Rivers family at Marsh's End (or Moor House) and Morton, where her cold clergyman-cousin St John Rivers proposes to her; and her reunion with and marriage to her beloved Rochester at his house of Ferndean.
Partly autobiographical, the novel abounds with social criticism and sinister gothic elements.

My first impression of this story was from screen.
It's long long ago, maybe before I can read english books. I don't remember which movie edition I had seen. But I was impressed by the music, the scenery and the costume. I was very favor of a section of music in its balls. It's pretty brisk, liked a wonderful song of a bird. Regarding to the characters, I liked Elizabeth, the heroine,though I didn't think she's beautiful. But she's smart. However, I didn't pay much attention to the plot. I thought it's so long that it made me impatient and bored. By now, I haven't read the whole story in English or its Chinese version, either. I owe it to my prejudice.
In fact, I didn't understand the story at that time. I didn't know why it called Pride and Prejudice. Of course someone was pride, but I didn't find where' s the prejudice. I thought it's normal, the way people treated each other in that. I considered prejudice would be very disgusting. But to the movie everthing was OK in my minds, except its length. Now, I think I have understood more about it. I'm a prejudiced person so I can't find where's wrong. I merely like to do the things I like. Everytime I meet somebody or something,my thinking about he or it all depends on my foregone experience and my mood of the time.

It took me a week to read a book encouraging morale, called "the old man and the sea". I greatly admire, San Diego, the old man, if you read the story below, maybe you would like me to admire him.
Cuba, San Diego, the old man has nothing for eighty-four days, eighty-five days, with blessing and bait is stubbornly sailing out to sea again, he will go to deep to catch a big fish. This time, he met a pair of feet was eighteen feet long and is greater than he, he told the big silver fish (marlin) filled with admiration and respect, at the same time, the more aroused the determination to San Diego to challenge it. Big fish and the old man silently confrontation, sometimes take the ship to the deep sea, alternately circling boats, and want to use set off waves of the boat upset... Old man and big fish fight for two days and two nights, in the process, he constantly and fish, birds and sea dialogue, constant to or when they remember past events. With indomitable willpower and strong faith, he finally held up, conquered the behemoth. Unexpected is that the old man is going to pull the marlin back, large Numbers of sharks are attracted to over eat bundle of marlin on the boat. Although exhausted, San Diego, the old man go to great lengths to fight with sharks, but still being in that big fish shark bite only a empty frame. In the end, the San Diego old man dragged the vast empty skeleton back to the shore.
Old man of the spirit and idea of on their own, the lampholder support, he finally defeated the big fish, also defeated failure, defeated himself. We also should have this spirit in learning, such as difficulties in math, you should learn more, do not easily give up.

This idea, consolatory in theory I felt would be terrible if realized: with all my might I endeavored to stifle it—I endeavored to be firm. Shaking my hair from my eyes, I lifted my head and tried to look boldly around the dark room; at this moment a light gleamed on the wall.
Was it, I asked myself, a ray from the moon penetrating some aperture in the blind? No; moonlight was still, and this stirred; while I gazed, it glided up to the ceiling and quivered over my head. I can now conjecture readily that this streak of light was, in all likelihood, a gleam from a lantern carried by some one acrothe lawn; but then, prepared as my mind was for horror, shaken as my nerves were by agitation, I thought the swift-darting beam was a herald of some coming vision from another world. My heart beat thick, my head grew hot; a sound filled my ears, which I deemed the rushing of wings; something seemed near me; I was oppressed, suffocated: endurance broke down; I rushed to the door and shook the lock in desperate effort. Steps came running along the outer passage; the key turned, Bessie and Abbot entered.
