whether的用法：
1、whether用作连词,意思是“是否,是不是”,可引导名词从句或动词不定式短语。
2、whether还可引导让步状语从句,意思是“不管,无论”,从句中通常用一般现代时代替将来时。

“第一：上次提问网友说I don't care whether he will come 。 这句宾从是由一般问句来的。” 你这种说法是不准确的，whether是个连词，它只是起引导句子he will come的作用，不作句子成分，这句话完整形式是I don't care whether he will come or not。这一点与疑问词是不同的，疑问词是担当句子成分的。 由于whether是个连词，“whether可以单独用于疑问句吗？”这个问题也就不存在了，它是要用在复合句里的。

whether和if的区别
这两个连接词均含“是否”之意。
if作“是否”解时，多用于口语，引出宾语从句，不能直接跟or not连用。
whether多用于书面语中，可与or或or not连用，除引出宾语从句外，还可引出主语从句、表语从句、同位语从句或与不定式连用。whether与discuss、consider和decide等动词连用听起来更自然。
例句：Not all women have the choice whether or not to breast-feed their babies
不是所有的妇女都能选择是否用母乳哺育自己的孩子。
