Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to today’s English speech Contest. I’m Ken. And this is my partner, Ruby. It is a great honor for us to host today’s contest . This speaking contest is organized by the English department and the contestants are all freshmen majored in English. The contest is one of a series of activities the English department holds for its students. Later on, there will be English debate, English drama evening and so on.
