chore指的是“家庭杂务；日常零星工作”，也就是所谓的“家务活”。do chores=do housework处理琐事；干家务chore为可数名词，housework为不可数名词。我想没有人会喜欢做家务(chores)，因为它“令人厌烦”。所以chore还有一个意思是“令人厌烦的工作”。

housework一般是比较常规的教务，而chore是形容杂碎无聊的细心活。

chore 是指 small things but need to do regularly. 即需要经常去做的琐碎的杂事，其范畴更大，包括housework，但不一定是housework。比如，你需要经常擦办公室的桌子，保持干净。这就不属于 housework。

做杂物do housekeeping 不要加-s,因为语法上把它看成抽象名词，抽象名词的特点是 uncountable,不可数名词，这里指做杂务、做勤务、做家务、做家政、做家庭料理等等。如 ：His wife does housekeeping every day. They do housekeeping every day.他妻子每天做家务。他们每天都做家务。
