FAR科目变化变化1：ASU2015-07fairvaluemeasurement考试影响：在fairvaluehierarchy中，level1，level2和level3的输入变量中（inputs）将不再包含netassetvalue（净资产的价值）这个条目。适用时间：自2016年1月份起预计出现题型：Multiplechoices变化2：ASU2015-05cloudcomputing考试影响：该修订案中将“云计算服务”中支付给云服务提供商的服务费（feespaidforhostingagreementonthecloud）是否需要资本化还是费用化之中。增加的内容和“安装软件于云服务器上”有关。如果满足“企业可以在不承担重大违约金的情况下将软件从服务器上卸走”并且“企业自行购买或者设计软件并安装于服务商的云服务器之上”两个条件，服务费需要资本化。适用时间：自2016年1月份起预计出现题型：Multiplechoices变化3：Bondissuecost考试影响：在之前的会计准则中，债券发行费用将不再作为单独的会计科目计量并按照直线法摊销；而是采用和IFRS一致的方法，从债券融资额中扣除。对债券发行最直接的影响是，准则变更之前的会计处理并不影响债券的到期收益率（yield-to-maturity），而在变更之后，将会提高债券的到期收益率。适用时间：自2016年1月份起预计出现题型：Multiplechoices&Simulations变化4：Extraordinaryitem考试影响：在之前的会计准则中，意外项目（extraordinaryitem）需要作为单独一类活动在利润表中列报；在变更之后，GAAP将采用和IFRS一致的方法，不再单独列报意外项目这一类交易活动，而是将其汇总至continuedoperation或者discountinreoperation中。预计出现题型：Multiplechoices变化5：PCCintangiblesinbusinesscombination考试影响：PCC指的是在2014年颁布了PrivateCompanyStandard（私营公司会计准则）。私营企业会计准则和公共公司会计准则（即我们常说的GAAP）最大的区别在于，在并购中，商誉（goodwill）将不再是一项无法摊销、只能计提减值的资产，而是一项允许在不超过10年的时间里面摊销的无形资产。适用时间：自2015年7月份起预计出现题型：Multiplechoices&Simulations变化6：Pushdownaccounting考试影响：pushdownaccounting作为并购的一种特殊的计量方法，要求企业按照合并日的公允价值重新调整子公司的资产和负债的账面金额。Pushdownaccounting对母公司资产负债表和合并财务报表的编制并不产生影响，但是会影响子公司单个财务报表的列报。该会计处理方法已在教材中有所体现。适用时间：自2015年7月份起预计出现题型：Multiplechoices

继2017年USCPA考试改革后，2018年USCPA考试又发生了变化，其中科目FAR对非政府组织和非营利组织（NGNPO）的权威性文献做了变更：删除了第一章，C4（职能支出表）及相关任务。
此外并从NGNPO的代表性任务中删除“无限制，暂时受限制和永久限制”的条款。如下图所示：

FAR在四门科目中有考生说最难的，其实不然，看考生自身情况。但考试内容是四门科目中最多的，FAR不会考特别偏的内容，而且说是simulation，其实还是带选择性质的，所以学习该科目时不需要死记硬背那些会计科目，只要能理解就可以了。
